Anholt Castle Hotel

Germany is rich in architectural sights. It is one of the few countries to have a huge number of castles, palaces, churches and other unique structures. Many of them are now museums and some are hotels, which welcome tourists. One of these is the Anhalt Castle Hotel, which is nicely situated between the two countries.

History of Anhalt Castle

The castle was owned by the Counts of Bronkhorst-Batenburg in the 12th century. The dynasty lived here for over two centuries. Later the castle came under the ownership of the princes von Salm-Salm. Today, Anhalt Castle is an important historical and cultural monument in Germany and a popular landmark.

Anhalt today

Today Anhalt is not only an ancient castle, but also a comfortable hotel where guests can experience the atmosphere of the past. Situated on the border between the Netherlands and Germany, the hotel never suffers from a shortage of guests.

The hotel has 28 rooms, each one individually decorated. The restaurant is situated on a spacious terrace overhanging the castle moat. By the way, many people come here just for the gastronomic delights – it is said that the cooks are magicians.
