Villa Las Tronas in Alghero

Villa Las Tronas is a delightful five-star hotel and the landmark of Alghero, a small town in north-west Sardinia.

Hotel description

Villa Las Tronas is the only villa in Sardinia built by the sea. It was built in 1880. Originally designed as a hunting lodge, it took the shape of a medieval castle in the 1920s. At that time, the cream of society – representatives of the Romanov dynasty, members of the Italian royal family and others – met here.

In 1961 the villa became a hotel: unique, refined, full of elegance and luxury. Its unique location makes Villa Las Tronas an oasis on a private property.

The restaurant of the hotel is worth saying a few words. The restaurant serves exclusively vegetarian dishes. The chefs, inspired by ancient Sardinian traditions, prepare delicious seafood platters to order. The hotel has a fabulous bar that offers an incredibly intimate and romantic atmosphere for special gatherings and unforgettable moments.

Guest entertainment

Villa Las Tronas is more than just a secluded spot for a holiday in high comfort. Outdoor and indoor pools filled with seawater are available. On summer evenings, step out onto the large terrace to admire the setting sun and enjoy a glass of local wine.

There is a pool table, a gym and equipped paths for pedestrians and cyclists. An important consideration for guests is that pets are allowed (check with the hotel when making your reservation).

The property was once the residence of the Italian royal family. The hotel’s owners have managed to retain the spirit of aristocracy and classicism, breathing some fresh air into the old manor house.
